Laurel to Add to Excellent Grade Record
The 20.09 can see Woodbrook Laurel take the prize for Mrs Phil Collins. He produced a solid 29.04 at this level two starts back and should have enough to win this contest.
There are stronger runs in his back form as well, running in A1 back in November, he drops into an A3 contest tonight. His last run in this grade saw him produce a 28.81 in October, a repeat of that would rip this field apart.
Things Look Smooth for Satin
Satin Bluebell can score for Eugene Sheehan in the 21.22. She has ducked under the 29-second barrier twice within her last five runs, the only runner to do so in the field that recently.
This looks to be a decent draw for her, right on the inside, a five-length winner in this grade the only other time that she has sported the red jacket. A repeat of that puts her in pole position to add another A1 success.
Sokitz to Sparkle for Grassick
Last time out was the first time that Sokitz Sparkle had been seen in action for almost three months. Even though her trial prior to that run was smart, she will still come on for the return to competitive action.
She has a solid record of 4/9 when running in this grade for Alex Grassick, a winner at a higher level back in the autumn. Her best form would see her hold stronger claims than her price suggests at 20.47.
Breeze to Leave These in the Wind
Edencurra Breeze beat the 1 when they met last time out, the pair coming from the same traps as they are tonight. On paper, that rival looks her biggest threat to the win tonight which has to bode well for her chance.
She has generally been seen in better company than this for David Finn, producing times that very much make her the one they all have to beat at 19.28.
Joyce’s Dog to Roll With the Wind
The draw in trap 5 is a little wider than Joyces Lee Side wants to be but his early pace might be able to overcome this draw at 19.12. Only a May ‘20 whelp, he has the potential for better to come.
His main danger in 3 is also a pup who can progress but Richard Joyce’s hound is the most consistent of the pair on the clock so gets the nod over a rival with one flashy time that he is yet to back up.
