PLENTY of matches to get stuck in to tonight and having had a detailed looked through the card, two sides immediately stood out for me. Hull welcome struggling Rotherham and Paul Scholes’s Oldham side welcome lowly Yeovil Town. Tang both Home sides to collect three points.
Hull City vs Rotherham United 7.45pm)
Important match for these two but for contrasting reasons. Hull still he an outside chance of sneaking into the play off spot whilst Rotherham are fully engaged in a relegation battle with Bolton and Reading.
Hull will be glad to be back on home turf after being outplayed away at Derby. The hosts have won 5 games on the spin at the KC Staduim, scoring 16 goals in the process and conceding just 2.
Those wins came against some decent opposition with 4 of those wins by at least a two goal margin and they’ll have high hopes of making it 6 wins in a row at the expense of lowly Rotherham.
The Yorkshire side in fairness do will to be competitive in this league given their limited resources and if thery go down it will be because of the lack of points collected on the road
P15 W0 D5 L10 – They have only scored 8 goals in those 15 games and with 22 of their 27 points collected at home, Hull are clear favourites and are reasonably priced at 3/4.
Young Striker Jarrod Bowen will be keen to continue his impressive goal scoring run – he has 9 goals in his last 9 games and has scored in his last 4 matches at home. He’ll be Hull’s main threat
Given Hull’s terrific home form and Rotherham’s travel sickness, Hull are worth backing
Recommended Bet:
- Hull to beat Rotherham
- 3/4 (Betfred)
Oldham Athletic vs Yeovil Town (KO 7.45pm)
Be interesting to see how the Oldham players respond to the appointment of former Manchester United legend Paul Scholes to the Boundary Park hot seat. (Hopefully better than Henry’s short tenure at Monaco)
Its bound to have given everyone at the club a boost to have one of England’s finest footballers at the helm not to mention the increased media coverage it will give the club.
Its a decent game for them to have after the announcement – just one defeat in their last 8 home games and with a struggling Yeovil side having to make the log long trip north, you have to fancy Oldham to collect three points here and add to Yeovil’s relegation woes after a run 4 straight defeats
Recommended Bet:
- Oldham to beat Yeovil
- 4/5 (Marathonbet)
I like the look of the Championship for goals tonight so going to take all 5 over 1.5 goals at 31/10 (Bet365)
