Europa league action tonight and one thing is for certain, trying to pick winners out of this card is going to be extremely difficult. The competition at times as a minefield and having looked through tonight’s matches, its looks like another tough one. Will focus on matters closer to home as Celtic welcome Valencia in what is a tough game for the hoops but a winnable one.
Celtic vs Valencia (KO 8.05pm)
Always tough I feel playing the first leg at home and if Celtic want to progress, they are either going to have to keep a clean sheet or go over to Spain with a two goal lead, both of which are big asks.
Its been an exceptional 2019 for Celtic, played 7 won 7, 7 clean sheets, it’s worth calling out though they’ve hardly been asked questions against the likes of Airdrie, Hamilton, and St Johnstone three times so this will be their toughest test so far this year.
One thing Celtic will have coming into this is confidence and they’ll hold no fears with the backing of 60,000 fans inside Celtic Park.
Its a tough game to fathom out – my take on it is Valencia are a class above sides they normally play and will score here. both Salzburg and Leipzig managed that feat this season and the visitors will be keen to grab that all important away goal.
They managed 2 goals at Barcelona and 2 at Real Betis recently, this is easier.
Celtic have scored in 12 consecutive Europa league matches at home and are more than capable of finding the net – key players such as Christie, Forrest and Sinclair are bang on form and they’ll take that into this match
A really intriguing match in prospect and one in which both sides can find the net
Recommended Bet:
- BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
- 1/1 (Red Zone) (NAP)
