The Bank Holiday meeting at Goodwood comes to an end on Sunday afternoon with another seven-race offering headlined by the Group 3 Weatherbys Hamilton Supreme Stakes at 4.00pm.
They race at the Sussex venue from 1.45pm-5.10pm and our tipster has a race-by-race preview of the action.

1.45 – tote Placepot First Bet Of The Day Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap (1m1f)
On the face of it last year’s winner THE GAME IS ON hasn’t been firing since but his runs here over C&D in June and this month at Brighton haven’t been without some promise.
He was a shock winner of this contest last year and should be a big price again. He is rated 8lb lower and cannot be dismissed out of hand.

2.15 – Tote.co.uk Handicap (6f)
David Menuisier’s record at what is his local track is excellent (11-40, 27 per-cent strike-rate) and ATALANTA’S BOY is responsible for four of those wins.
Each has come over this C&D, including this race last year and on seasonal return in April. Tardy beginnings did for him at Epsom and Windsor afterwards while the Stewards’ Cup last month proved too hot. This is less so and he should go well now.

2.50 – tote EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes (1m)
His first two runs saw him behind subsequent Group-race winners in Royal Patronage and Reach For The Moon and FIRTH OF CLYDE found only a newcomer too strong at Newmarket over 7f most recently.
They front two were well clear of the remainder and that promising runs sets the bar for this contest. Upped now to the mile, Paul and Oliver Cole’s charge has outstanding claims under William Buick.

3.25 – Tote.co.uk Selling Stakes (1m3f)
Hard to be in love with any of these for contenders at the moment. AGGAGIO ran well on first two starts for this trainer at Haydock and Chepstow after arriving from France and it’s probably safest to overlook his hurdling attempt at Stratford last week.
This could be tactical and, in that regard, he’s sure to be well-served with the champion jockey Oisin Murphy booked to steer.

4.00 – Weatherbys Hamilton Supreme Stakes (Group 3, 7f)
A wide open Group 3 if ever there was one. First-time blinkers may assist Tactical for Andrew Balding and Oisin Murphy and he’s respected but the other Toronado colt in the line-up, TORO STRIKE, is preferred for Richard Fahey.
He’s a C&D winner in the past, was second in this event 12 months ago and certainly didn’t disgrace himself in the Group 2 Lennox Stakes over C&D last month. Eased in class and with Ryan Moore secured, he has a clear chance.

4.35 – Chichester City Handicap (1m2f)
Impressive as Just Fine was at Sandown last time, the handicapper has clubbed Sir Michael Stoute’s Royal runner with an 8lb rise and that could leave him vulnerable, especially as it’s likely that John & Thady Gosden’s runner HIGHLAND ROCKER has more to give.
The Ripon novice winner disappointed on handicap bow at Newbury in May but he banished that memory with a fine fourth last month at Newmarket (1m2f, good to firm) in a race that has worked out exceedingly well.
The first three all won next time – two of them in Group races – and Rab Havlin’s mount has to be of interest from an unchanged mark now.

5.10 – Cowslip Bank Fillies’ Handicap (1m4f)
Maytal contrived to grab defeat from the jaws of victory at Salisbury last time and, while the first-time visor may help, she’s gone up 3lb for that effort. QUENELLE D’OR is a filly by Golden Horn and she was a C&D winner in June.
She’s faced tougher task since, including at Listed level, and she ran well in third at Newmarket (1m6f, good to firm) behind talented Eileendover this month. Eased 2lb, she should go well from the front under the champ.
