Hats off to our resident golf tipster The Caddy who has been knocking on the door the last few weeks and finally nailed it at the Saudi International where pre-tournament favourite Dustin Johnson won for the second time in three years on Sunday.
Johnson, who was also runner-up in 2020 shot a 2-under 68 in the final round to finish 2 strokes clear of Justin Rose and Tony Finau who was also tipped by The Caddy in his preview earlier in the week.
He made the case for Johnson as his headline pick, despite him heading the betting market at 6/1. His form on the Saudi course was just too good to ignore.
“I think DJ will do what DJ does best and carve up this course for fun, therefore I simply cannot oppose him as I predict he will be a convincing winner come Sunday making the 6/1 on offer not too bad after all”
He also kept faith Tony Finau who found himself coming up just short for the second week running. Finau has been on The Caddy’s radar plenty recently and landed each-way money with a T2 finish at 18/1.
To round off a very satisfactory and profitable weekend on the European Tour The Caddy’s NAP won yet again. He tipped up Dustin Johnson to get the better of Bryson De Chambeau in a 72-hole match bet at 10/11.
Well done if you got on-board with the The Caddy’s tips and keep an eye out for this week’s tips which will be available here on Tuesday.
