Rangers look more than capable of maintaining their perfect start to the new Scottish Premiership season when they visit Livingston on Sunday.
Gerrard Seeking Four Wins From Four
The table-topping Gers have won all three of their matches in the Premiership so far this season without even conceding a goal and remarkably they could pull eight points clear of Old Firm rivals Celtic with another victory on Sunday, albeit with Neil Lennon’s side having two games in hand.
Steven Gerrard’s men have also won each of their last six meetings with Livingston and have conceded just one goal during that time, with the Lions’ last success in the fixture coming back in September 2018.
Livingston did twice come from behind to earn their first point of the campaign at Motherwell last time out, but Rangers should have little problems in seeing off Gary Holt’s side and the Glasgow giants can be backed at 11/10 to win to nil at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Hibs to Keep Pace at the Top
Like Rangers, Hibernian have made a perfect start to the new season, registering wins over Kilmarnock, Livingston and Dundee United and they will fancy their chances of continuing that streak against a Motherwell team that have made a slow start to the campaign after finishing third last season.
Saturday’s evening kick-off will also give Hibs the chance to move top of the standings for 24 hours at least and in Christian Doidge they have a striker in form, as he will be bidding to score for the third consecutive match.
Doidge is priced at 8/5 to score anytime on Saturday and he has a precedent for doing just that against Motherwell, as he netted in Hibs’ 3-1 victory when the two sides met at Easter Road last season.
Tense Battle Expected at New Douglas Park
Both Hamilton and St Mirren narrowly avoided relegation last term and another season of struggle appears to be on the cards for the Accies this time around, as they have lost their opening two fixtures of the campaign.
St Mirren have fared much better of late, following up an opening-day victory over Livingston with a respectable display before going down to Rangers at Ibrox last time out.
The Buddies also boast an impressive recent record against their opponents on Saturday, as they are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Hamilton, although three of those clashes have ended all-square.
Backing the St Mirren double chance at 10/23 could prove the way to go, while under 2.5 goals in the match also looks a likely outcome, as each of the last five meetings between the two sides have seen two goals or less scored.
Under 2.5 goals at New Douglas Park on Saturday can be backed at 20/39.
