Championship leaders Fulham will attempt to further strengthen their grip at the top of the standings when they host Blackburn on Saturday.
Fulham tasted defeat for just the fifth time this season when they went down 2-1 at home to Huddersfield on February 19th.
However, they have responded in fine fashion to secure successive victories over Peterborough and Cardiff.
They head into Saturday’s 12:30 clash with Blackburn sitting nine points clear of second-placed Bournemouth, although the Cherries do have two games in hand.
On the face of it, a meeting with Blackburn, who are fourth, looks tricky, but Rovers have been in terrible form of late.
The Lancashire outfit did beat QPR last time out but that came off the back of a five-game winless streak, while they are without a win or a goal in their last five on the road.
The reverse fixture ended in a 7-0 triumph for Fulham at Ewood Park and another big result could be on the cards when taking into account their strong home form.
Fulham have the best home record of anyone in the division and they have struck a league-high 43 goals on their own patch.
At least three goals have been scored in 11 of their 18 home fixtures and a Fulham win with over 2.5 goals offers interest at 6/5.
Tykes up for the Fight
Few would have given Barnsley any chance of beating the drop just a couple of weeks ago but they have given their fans cause for optimism.
Barnsley have won three of their last four fixtures, including each of the previous two, and they are edging closer to safety.
They remain in the bottom three but are only six points shy of 21st-placed Reading with a game in hand and they still need to play the Royals.
To put their recent form into context, Barnsley managed to pick up just two wins from their opening 29 outings and they will be optimistic ahead of facing Derby on Saturday.
Derby are one place and two points behind the Tykes but they have played an additional two games.
The Rams, who fell to a 2-1 defeat in the reverse, have lost their last three but they can take confidence from their recent home form, having won five of the last seven at Pride Park.
Wayne Rooney’s side are 6/5 to pick up all three points against 53/20 Barnsley with the draw priced up at 43/20.
Millwall Making Late Push
Millwall begin this weekend in 11th and just five points adrift of the top six after stringing together a four-game winning streak.
They look well placed to make that five-from-five when they travel to strugglers Reading at 15:00.
Millwall’s success has largely been built on solid home performances, picking up 32 of their 49 points at The Den, but Reading have the fourth-worst home record in the division.
The Royals head into this fixture off the back of a 4-1 defeat at Blackpool and with the worst defensive record in the Championship, conceding 67 goals.
At least three goals have been scored in 21 of their 34 engagements this term and over 2.5 goals against Millwall can be backed at 11/10.
