With the pause button hit on the vast majority of domestic leagues across the world following the Coronavirus crisis, there is little on-field action to enjoy.
However, off the field, the transfer rumour mill has been cranked into overdrive, with countless combinations of players and potential suitors spun into headlines, with links ranging from the tenuous to the more concrete.
With recruitment departments and management teams now able to fully focus on re-tooling their squad between now and the probably resumption of major club football later this year, the market is gearing up for what could be an incredibly busy period.

The United loanee has made a hugely positive impact following his temporary switch to Old Trafford from the Chinese Super League, bagging four goals in just three starts for the club.
Chelsea eyeing Brazilian
The Sun have also suggested that Chelsea have made initial contact with Portuguese club Porto over a potential £36m move for Brazilian left-back Alex Telles.
The highly-regarded 27-year old has been a star performer for Porto for several seasons, though it is believed that the exciting defender is angling for a move to a bigger league.
Mahrez to be given his marching orders?
In a sensational development, Manchester City are thought to be willing to let winger Riyad Mahrez leave this summer.
After a largely disappointing campaign, the Citizens are planning major squad renovations this summer and Algerian wide attacker Mahrez could be one of the names on the chopping block.
Werner Anfield bound?
Liverpool are thought to be well clear of Chelsea in the race to sign German striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. The prolific centre-forward is expected to lead the Bundesliga this summer and his compatriot Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a huge admirer of the speedy striker.
The 24-year old has been flirting openly with the prospect of moving to Anfield over the past couple of months and now Liverpool look set to make concrete moves towards securing his signature soon.
Lallana to Leicester?
Out of favour Liverpool midfielder looks set to leave Liverpool this year in search of more regular first team football, and high-flying Leicester City are thought to be at the head of a queue of potential suitors.
Lallana has started just three times in the Premier League for Liverpool this term, and a switch to the King Power Stadium to take up a more important role could appeal.
Man Utd line up Zakaria
Manchester United are planning their own Bundesliga raid according to the latest rumours. Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has been impressing in the German top flight this term, and his all action displays and his impactful performances have caught the eye of United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United keen to grab Grealish
United are also expected to make a concerted push to sign Aston Villa talisman Jack Grealish in the coming months. The Villains creative lynchpin is likely to leave to his boyhood club this year, and Grealish will almost certainly have numerous clubs vying for his signature.
Grealish is thought to be enthused about a move to Old Trafford however – a ground that the 24-year old revealed was one of his favourites in an interview earlier this season.
