FST’s 40/1 #OOT special for Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich

25/05/2020 admin

After landing a huge 66/1 #OOT special for Werder Bremen’s clash with Bayer Leverkusen last week, our German football tipsters have been busy putting together another tasty looking OddsOnThat special for Tuesday’s eagerly anticipated Der Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

In the potentially pivotal clash between the Bundesliga’s current top two, Dortmund’s tussle with Bayern has all the makings of another thrilling, season-defining German fußball contest.

Both clubs come into Tuesday’s game on the back of six-match winning streaks, and with Dortmund yet to taste defeat at the Signal Iduna Park this season, they should provide the stiffest test yet for Hansi Flick’s relentless Bayern winning machine.

Ahead of the action, our analysts have come up with a huge 40/1 five-fold #OOT offering for Borussia Dortmund’s latest skirmish with Bayern. Check it out below!

Lewandowski to score anytime

Ex-Dortmund star and current Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandoski doesn’t seem to have a sentimental side. The ruthless finisher seems to revel in scoring against his old employers, and the Polish international helped himself to two goals when Bayern hammered their rivals 4-0 back in November.

That brace brought Lewandowski’s haul against Die Schwarzgelben up to an incredible 16 goals since he swapped Dortmund yellow for Bayern red in 2014.

Away from his record in Der Klassiker, Lewandowksi’s overall form has been red-hot of late, and fresh from goals in successive post-hiatus appearances for Bayern, the 31-year-old is a prime candidate to get on the scoresheet again on Tuesday.

Haaland 2+ shots on target

Norwegian wonderkid Erling Haaland picked up where he left off after the postponement by bagging a goal and an assist in Dortmund’s resounding 4-0 derby win over Schalke a fortnight ago, and while he was a little off colour in his follow up appearance against Wolfsburg, he remains a key figure in Tuesday’s Der Klassiker.

Haaland 2.1 shots on goal per game average for Dortmund in the Bundesliga this season might not jump off the page, though the accuracy figures from those attempts are much more impressive.

The 19-year-old has hit the target with 1.3 or 61.9% of his shots on goal on average since moving across the border to Germany from Austria – highlighting just how clinical the youngster is when the chances present themselves.

Haaland will be the line-leading focal point of Dortmund’s attack against Bayern this week, and with an electrifying supporting cast of creative talent providing the ammunition, the former RB Salzburg star should have ample chances to threaten Manuel Neuer’s goal.

Bayern Munich most corners

Somewhat unsurprisingly, the domestically dominant Bayern Munich (7.37) have won more corners per game on average than any other Bundesliga side this season – winning 199 corners to Dortmund’s 161 overall this term.

In each of the last four meetings between the German giants, Bayern came out on top in the corner count, winning a whopping 27 of them to Dortmund’s four overall in their last quartet of encounters.

The last time Bayern visited the Signal Iduna Park, they won six corners to their host’s zero, and with their ascendency in that particular set-piece well established, the Bavarians look good to some out on top again.

Bayern Munich players

Over 3.5 total goals

If you’re looking for goals by the bucketful and penalty area drama by the ton, then Der Klassiker rarely fails to deliver.

Over 3.5 goals has landed in each of the last six Bundesliga meetings between these German behemoths, with the net bulging an average of 4.83 times per 90 minutes across that sextet of high octane clashes.

With a combined 154 top flight goals plundered between them already this season, Dortmund and Bayern are out on their own as the division’s most prolific teams, and with both sides prepared to trade blow for blow on Tuesday, it should be a busy evening for goalkeepers.

Joshua Kimmich to get booked

Versatile Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich is one of the champion’s most reliable and consistent operators, though his role as a defensive enforcer can often land him in trouble with referees.

Kimmich has been carded six times in the Bundesliga for Bayern so far this season – a total that makes him the club’s most prolific offender, and the 25-year-old is already into double bookings figures for the campaign in all competitions for 2019/20.

The combative anchorman, who hails from the town of Rottweil, plays with the same bite as the dog named after the place of his birth, and having been cautioned in Bayern’s Super Cup defeat against Dortmund in August, we’re backing the German international to get collared again.
