We’re off to Ireland again for a Friday night fix on a tough looking night for punters.
League leaders Shamrock Rovers face a tricky trip to Dundalk who are always tough to beat at Oriel Park, where they’ve only lost twice this season.
Rovers opened up a seven point gap over Derry City with a 1-0 win against the Candystripes on Monday and they did win 4-0 on the all-weather pitch at Dundalk back in March.
But it could be a tougher evening for Stephen Bradley’s men who could have one eye on a busy month which includes that kick-off of their European campaign.
5/6 feels a little on the short side for the Hoops in a game that could be better left alone.
It should be a case of how many for 1/8 shots St Pat’s at home to strugglers UCD. The visitors pulled off a much-needed win against Sligo last week but shipped 3, 3, 4 and 4 goals in their four matches prior to that.
Each of those saw two or more goals in scored in the first half and a repeat this evening pays 11/10. With St Patrick’s in good form that looks a solid bet.
Bohemians fared well against the top two in recent weeks, drawing with both Derry and Shamrock Rovers and will be looking to take advantage of Sligo’s current slump.
Bohs have won more points away from home this season and will fancy their chances of adding to their six wins on the road with another three points at 6/5 at the Showgrounds tonight.
