There’s a cracker in the EFL Championship to headline the Friday night football this week as Leeds bid to stop Leicester’s charge to the title.
This was a Premier League fixture last term and both sides could make a quickfire return to the top flight, with the Foxes topping the table and Leeds sitting in third.
But there’s a 14-point gap between them thanks to a stunning run from Enzo Maresca’ side who have won 13 of their 14 league games.
In that kind of form, I thought Leicester would be odds on for this one but you can get them at 11/10 with Coral which looks good value.
Daniel Farke’s side are in good shape themselves though, winning four of their last five, so it could be a close game.
McBookie price a one-goal win for either side at a tempting 13/10 while the half-time draw pays 27/20 at VBet.
There’s a couple of intriguing FA Cup ties, with non-league sides Horhsam and Sheppey United looking to spring shocks against Barnsley and Walsall.
The bookies can’t see that happening as Horsham are a whopping 16/1 at Coral for a win at Oakwell while Sheppey are 17/2 with the same firm.
Home advantage might give United more of a chance and League Two Walsall are in poor form, with just one win in seven games. It could pay to go for BTTS and over 2.5 goals, which pays evens
at William Hill.
Barnsley are in much better shape in League One, going five games unbeaten, so I’m going to back them to win both halves at 13/10 with Paddy Power.
There’s Championship football in Scotland as well with Dunfermline heading to Cappielow to take on Morton.
Ton prop up the table but are just three points behind the Pars so it could be a tight game.
It doesn’t have the makings of a classic in bad weather so I like under 2.5 goals at 20/21 with BoyleSports.
