IT wasn’t that long ago that West Brom were racing up the Championship table but things have stalled a little lately and they’ve slipped back down to 11th having threatened the play-off places.
But a win over Middlesbrough last week suggests they’re not done yet. They’ve a game in hand on all the teams above them and a win tonight could take them in to eighth, albeit temporarily.
They love a game against Hull City too. The Baggies have won the last six meetings between the sides and put five past the Tigers when the sides met at the Hawthorns earlier in the season.
Hull are winless in four and their three most recent wins have all come against teams below them in the table. West Brom look capable of claiming the win tonight at 5/4.
In the Scottish Championship there’s a crucial match at the foot of the table. Hamilton had been in brilliant form until they came a cropper at league leaders Queen’s Park last week but they can bounce back with a win over bottom side Arbroath at 29/20.
The Accies have suffered just two defeats in 10 (v Hearts in the Cup and last week’s defeat to Queen’s Park) and could find themselves out of the bottom two for the first time in months with a win.
Arbroath too have shown some fight in recent weeks, picking up five points from a possible twelve but home advantage coupled with that belief Hamilton will have built up in the last few months gives them a promising chance at decent odds tonight.
In Italy, Napoli can move a massive 18 points clear at the top of Serie A as they continue to power on to their first Scudetto since 1990.
Lazio are the visitors and they’ve shipped 12 goals in their last three visits to Naples. They sit fifth in the table after wins against struggling Sampdoria and Salernitana but as long as the league leaders don’t take their foot off the gas this should be another three points (4/7 Bet365) for Luciano Spalletti’s men who are unbeaten at home (W10 D1) and have kept six clean sheets in their last seven outings.
There’s a mouthwatering clash in Bundesliga tonight too where 2nd placed Borussia Dortmund host 4th place RB Leipzig. Only four points separate the sides but goals look guaranteed at the Westfalenstadion.
Both sides have the exact same goals record so far this season, 45 scored, 27 conceded, averaging 3.27 per game. Of the last 10 meetings eight have seen over 2.5 goals and six of those over 3.5 goals.
Over 3.5 Goals pays 6/4 and isn’t the worst option but doubling up Over 2.5 with a Napoli win pays just over 6/4.
