It looks like a night for the favourites in Ireland tonight with four teams priced at 3/5 or shorter to win.
Shamrock Rovers need to keep the chasing pack at bay with a win at Drogheda. The Hoops were beaten at Dundalk last Friday night and have won just four of their last nine points available.
They’ll be keen to get back to winning ways at 11/20 ahead of their Champions League qualifier against Breidablik at Tallaght on Wednesday night.
St Patrick’s are riding high at the moment and continued their good run of form with a thumping 7-0 win over UCD last week. Cork City make the trip to Dublin in search for their first win in five.
It’s hard to see past the Saints in this one at 9/20 and doubling them up with Rovers pays a tempting 124/100.
Derry City should be a solid bet against Sligo Rovers at home but there’s been a few surprise results in this Irish top flight and this one could be best left alone. The Candystripes have won just five of their 12 at home so feel a bit on the short side at 3/5.
Struggling UCD will be stinging after that hammering at the hands of St Pats. That could bring out the best in them tonight against Shelbourne who just a wee bit too short at 9/20.
UCD’s win over Sligo a couple of weeks ago is enough to put us off Shels at those odds.
Arguably Dundalk are the form team, especially after their 2-0 win over league leaders Shamrock Rovers made it 13 points from a possible 15. Most of their good work is done at home but they have won five from 12 on the road.
Hosts Bohemians have slipped down the table and are winless in four (D2 L2). They could be vulnerable at 5/4. 19/10 could be worth a small play or 11/10 on the visitors in the Draw No Bet market.
