Astralis have been shockingly good this split, and while many people didn’t want to believe it, Lee “JeongHoon” Jeong-hoon is a very good player. He has the potential to become elite-level support in the LEC and is the main reason why Astralis are 3-4 ahead of Week 4.
However, while JeongHoon has been phenomenal, we wouldn’t say Astralis are anything more than a mid-table team. Their bottom lane is solid, but elsewhere, Astralis lacks the talent to compete with LEC top dogs.
Excel Esports are tied for first with Fnatic at 5-2 and deservingly so. This is a solid roster with a strong synergy and a solid game plan. Most of that is thanks to Erlend “nukeduck” Våtevik Holm, who doesn’t mind playing control mages and serves a more supporting role in the team. Although this works now, it does limit Excel’s ceiling as a team that could potentially do some damage internationally.
Excel are a better team than Astralis and should win, but the kill line on this match is a bit too high. At 9.5, you have to side with the underdogs, who have been relatively consistent in not giving up too many kills (1.00 KDA).

There isn’t much not to like about Fnatic. This is an excellent roster, and barring any surprises, Fnatic should be (besides Rogue) the leading candidates to win the LEC Summer crown. This is an aggressive and explosive team that will run you down, and it seems like the only team that can stop Fnatic is themselves.
Consistency was never Fnatic’s strongest suit, but they have improved in that aspect and are generally very effective against lesser teams. So it’s fair to expect them to beat Misfits Gaming.
The Bunnies are a solid team, capable of reaching the playoffs, but they’re very exploitable. Banning Lee Sin is the easiest way of gaining an advantage over Misfits, mainly because Lucjan “Shlatan” Ahmad has yet to show he can play anything else. But even if Misfits had a better jungler, they’re still outmatched in all other positions.
We wouldn’t sleep on Misfits, but we would also not expect them to defeat Fnatic.
