Ahead of Sunday’s World Cup Final the bookies can’t separate Argentina and France who are both 9/5 to win inside 90 minutes and 10/11 to lift the trophy.
Three of the last seven finals have finished 0-0 and four of the last seven have gone to extra-time so a draw can’t be ruled out at 2/1.
The Messi factor means most punters would like to see the South Americans be crowned champions so it will be interesting to see if they follow their heart with their money and force down the price ahead of kick-off.
Both Messi and Mbappe are tied on five goals but Bet365 rate the Argentinian more like to nick it at 10/11 compared to 21/20 on his PSG teammate.
Either way it should be cracker but we’ve a weekend of dometic football to look forward to – weather permitting.
It starts at St Andrew’s tonight where Birmingham City welcome Reading.
The hosts have been a difficult team to call all season; 7 wins, 8 draws and 7 defeats highlights their up and down form which sees them sit mid-table. In a similar vein Reading have won 10 and also lost 10 of their 22 and are just three points better off than tonight’s opponents. Brimingham are 23/20 favourites to win, possibly a reflection of Reading’s away form which is the third worst in the league.
Brum should arguably have won last week at Blackpool with an offside decision going against them in the 0-0 draw while Reading nicked a win over Coventry despite reportedly being outplayed.
Both teams have scored in each of the last six meetings and over 2.5 goals has landed in each of those. However neither side are setting the world alight with goals this season. In fact Birmingham matches have joint lowest average in the Championship at just 1.95 per game. Reading fare a little better but at 2.45 still below the 2.5 line.
It could be a close one but we’re backing the home side to edge it.

Both of Rizzel’s Thursday selections were non-runners, he hopes and prays that Kempton gets the green light as that’s the venue for his only selection for Friday.
