BAYERN MUNICH as most people have expected for months added the Champions League crown to the German double won by Hansi Flick but goals were at a premium.
A 1-0 final was a surprise considering the number of goals both have been scoring but chances were missed – by PSG particularly.
The majority of punters will have lost on the night on goals but there were eight cards including Neymar and Thiago Silva and plenty will have been on Bayern on the outright market.
I tipped them after knocking out Chelsea at 6-1 and again after seeing off Barcelona at 3-1 before they were cut right into 1-2 ahead of beating Lyon.
So that’s the 2019-2020 season finally completed and we have a quiet Monday before Champions League qualifying resumes on Tuesday and Wednesday. Celtic vs Ferencvaros on Wednesday will be previewed on the site.
Tuesday’s games are Tirana vs Red Star Belgrade and PAOK vs Besiktas while other ties on Wednesday include AZ vs Plzen, Cluj vs Dinamo Zagreb and Dinamo Brest vs Sarajevo.
