WELL done to all the winners … on the football badge quiz.
You know you’re struggling when that’s the highlight of your day.
I hope everyone’s staying healthy and managing to fill their day somehow.
I’ve got lots more time on my hands than usual but helping to put a paper out and trying to keep the site alive gives me some focus.
There are many people worse off than me and if you get a chance read David McCarthy’s article in Thursday’s Daily Record on how the mental health charity Back Onside are helping suffering footballers.
Andy Robertson has boosted them massively with a donation and the site will be doing likewise when we get back up and running properly.
Back Onside are doing a helluva job in tough times and it almost makes me wonder why I’m even trying to find something to bet on.
But I think it’s important to keep the forum active and it’s good to see punters sharing their experiences and wishing each other well.
Thursday is a no bet day for me and as I’ll doing for weeks I’ll be studying the pools and trying second guess how the pools panel will vote before picking out my draws.
Best comment on Wednesday was Greg’s “any Nicaraguan experts out there” as he targets the early-morning games.
Apart from that there’s esports to bet on and not surprisingly bookies have reported big interest in the FIFA 20 Quaranteam tournament that’s raising money for MND – I’ve never had time to play FIFA so I can’t help but if you any thoughts put them up.
Games on Thursday include Angers vs Melbourne Victory and Reading vs Celta Vigo and Coral are offering match prices and outright betting with Middlesbrough the favourites.
Spokesman Harry Aitkenhead said: “We’ve been surprised by the number of our punters who are getting into esports at the moment and this Quaranteam tournament is creating a real buzz around esports in general.
“With quite a few professionals taking the controllers the market has moved quite quickly and it’s Middlesborough who look the strongest and have attracted the most bets.”
