THE new season kicks off on Friday with Watford vs Middesbrough in the Championship and it’s good to have proper football back.
It’s always tough to call opening weekend fixtures but even more so under the current circumstances.
I’ll be doing the bare minimum for the next few weeks until we see some form and trends. And of course we need to see the effect no supporters have on teams and players.
The Watford game is tough to call and new boss Vladimir Ivic is in charge after joining from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Neil Warnock had a good finish to the season at Boro and is of course vastly experienced in this division.
I’m hoping for an entertaining game and a score draw is a possibly but I’m not betting on it.
Kevin Mac has posted predictions and a match preview for Watford vs Middlesbrough so check it out.
On Thursday my Lens draw no bet Super Single landed at 27-10 as they beat a weakened PSG 1-0. Well done to all who profited on that game.
Next up in France is Bordeaux vs Lyon and the visitors will be weakened by the expected sale of Memphis Depay to Barcelona. In Depay’s absence Moussa Dembele should start up front and he is 13-8 with Betfred to score.
Lyon look a little short at evens with Betfred considering they’ll be minus their star man and this could be another game where both score.
Elsewhere there are Eerste League and Austrian lower-league games that are a favourite for many goals fans so plenty to look at.
Well done to all the winners on Thursday and good luck over the first weekend of the new English season.
My anteposts have been picked out and will be posted later.
Super Single
- Dembele (Lyon to score, 8pm)
- (13-8, Betfred)
