IT was a bit of a strange day after a dramatic start to proceedings with the two derbies producing loads of talking points.
Liverpool seemed to be denied a couple of times by VAR as they were held 2-2 by Everton while Rangers beat Celtic fairly comfortably.
Virgil van Dijk’s injury could be a massive blow to Jurgen Klopp while Steven Gerrard will have real belief he can stop 10 in a row after a confident show at Parkhead.
There were plenty of winners on the big games with Kev Mac for example landing a 13-8 Super Single with Scott Brown booked but the game was less fiery than usual with no fans.
My both to score double came in at Goodison and St James’ while SlipsTips had an easy 4-5 BetBuilder winner in the Milan derby.
English lower-league results remain difficult to predict with the likes of Bournemouth, Blackburn and Swansea big letdowns. And Real Madrid’s home defeat to Cadiz has to go down as one of the shocks of the season.
There were plenty of goals as the Scottish lower leagues started but it was a well-backed Queen’s Park who beat my Top Treble as they were held at Stirling.
Well done to all the winners and let’s see if we can do better on a busy Sunday card.
In the Premier League all eyes will be on Aston Villa to see how they perform on the back of their amazing 7-2 win against Liverpool. Leicester have had some high scorers too and goals look a given here.
Other games are Sheffield Utd vs Fulham, Crystal Palace vs Brighton and Spurs vs West Ham where we could see a second Tottenham debut for Gareth Bale.
West Ham were surprise 3-0 winners at Leicester before the international break and have since added £30million-rated striker Said Benrahama on loan from Brentford. Again I can see goals here.
We also have the usual array of match previews as well as VIP Tips so check them out.
- SlipsTips is the man challenged with previewing Spurs vs West Ham.
- Kevin Mac has three value Super Singles from Leicester vs Aston Villa.
- Can Zaha be the hero again? Kevin Mac tips him to score in the Palace vs Brighton bash-up.
I’ll add more tips after studying the European card.
