IT’S a big night for Northern Ireland and an even bigger one for Scotland as both countries attempt to qualify for Euro 2020.
The Irish have at least a 50-50 chance at home to Slovakia but Scotland have been written off by bookies for their trip to face a star-studded Serbia.
My head says Serbia but Steve Clarke is working his magic and Scotland are unbeaten is eight so I can’t rule us out completely.
However, if we are to make out first finals for what will be 23 years when the delayed tournament takes place every player will have to be at their very best from David Marshall in goals to Lyndon Dykes up top.
There’s so much at stake for Scotland and the players know it so can they handle the pressure? A generation of fans have never seen us at a major finals and on top of that some games will be played at Hampden.
And of course it will be England vs Scotland at Wembley in June if we make it through and surely even the English would rather play us than Serbia.
I’ve posted predictions on a separate thread and check out Kevin Mac’s Serbia vs Scotland match preview.
Northern Ireland vs Slovakia has been dealt with by SlipsTips and the other two finals are Georgia vs North Macedonia and Hungary vs Iceland.
Elsewhere there are a few friendlies including England vs Republic of Ireland and Wales vs USA but for me all eyes are on Belgrade.
The Masters also starts on Thursday and I posted my tips on Wednesday morning.
Well done to all the winners on Wednesday night and good luck with your bets on Thursday.
