IT’S been a hectic spell of international football with some players turning out three times all over Europe and now seeing themselves banned from Wales.
For me it seems strange there are so many stars flying here, there and everywhere while every day more and more parts of the UK as well as Europe is locked down.
To be fair we struggled without football and the fact it’s ongoing with no fans is a relief but do we need the Nations League? I’m not sure.
That’s an argument for another day and we now have respite before the return of league football.
Thursday could be a no-bet day and well done if you find something to have a go at. One game that stands out is Duren vs Bayern Munich in the German Cup.
The fifth division side have moved the tie to the Allianz Arena and the handicap line has been set at five so a six-goal Bayern win pays evens with bet365.
Boss Hansi Flick is expected to field fringe players and new signings including possible starts for Alexander Nübel, Chris Richards, Javi Martínez, Marc Roca, Jamal Musiala, Douglas Costa and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
There’s a huge gulf in class between the teams and every chance Bayern will cover the handicap but I’m not sure it’s worth betting on.
Not much to look at elsewhere with some lower-league matches in Holland, Portugal and France so instead I’ll be concentrating on the weekend card which at last sees the return to the Scottish lower leagues.
There were plenty of winners on Wednesday so well done to them all.
