ALL eyes will be on little Saarbrucken tonight as they tackle the might of Bayer Leverkusen for a place in the German Cup Final.
Saarbrucken are the first fourth-tier side to reach the last four but haven’t played for 94 days after their league was declared finished and they were promoted to Bundesliga 3.
So they go in against the Champions League contenders with a massive disadvantage having played just training matches.
Also it is of course played behind closed doors which is sad for home fans as they’ll miss one of the biggest games in their history.
Fourth-tier clubs automatically have home advantage up to the Final so it would have been some occasion and remember top-flight Cologne and Fortuna Dusseldorf have lost there this season.
One positive for Saarbrucken is Bayer’s star man Kai Havertz is injured but even so it would be remarkable if the minnows came close to an upset.
As long as they stay professional Bayer should win well and I’ll hunt down some value later.
Elsewhere there are games all around Europe – in countries such as Portugal, Poland, Austria and Denmark and I’l see if I can dig out an acca.
Well done to all the winners on Monday including HullShaker with some nice bets.
