PSG and Lorient have been named French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 champions after the season was abandoned – so hopefully anyone backing those sides will be paid out.
Alternatively bookies could null and void the season and return all losing bets. Whatever happens – as I’ve said before – there will be winners and losers.
PSG weren’t going to be caught while Lorient, just one point clear of Lens, have been awarded after the French used the points-per-game formula.
Lens will be promoted while Amiens and Toulouse will be relegated from Ligue 1 with play-offs scrapped.
The French are the first of the big five to settle everything and Spain will probably follow suit while England, Germany and Italy still hope to play to a finish.
Bundesliga chiefs hope to restart a week on Saturday but the government are a little edgy and that date could be put back a week or two.
