BELARUS remains punters’ go to league although there has been some decent action in Nicaragua.
Goals and corners are not at a premium but there are loads of cards and with some bookies offering full markets these are worth a look.
Greg posted a table of stats and cards were again all the rage on Friday night with 16 yellows and one red in two matches.
There are four matches in the Belarus Premier League on Saturday – all streamed live and all kicking off at different times to maximum TV ratings.
Three teams in action – Isloch, Ruh Brest and Vitebsk – have had 14 players booked in their opening four matches.
On top of that they’ve had five red cards between them and only Smolevichi have a worse disciplinary record – and last night’s tally means we’ve seen 39 cards in their first five outings.
Looking at total cards per game and Vitebsk matches average a massive seven – the same as Slavia Mozyr – and today’s oppenents Dynamo Brest have had 25 cards in their four outings.
Sky Bet offer full markets on these matches including plenty of card and sending-off specials.
Isloch v Slavia Mozyr is first up at 12 noon and one special from Sky Bet is over 1.5 match goals, 3+ corners each team and 30+ booking points at 11-10.
The match to have 45-65 booking points is 9-4 while 70+ has a chance at 11-10.
Rukk Brest v FC Minsk is the 2pm start and Rukh, with 14 yellows and one red, are 6-4 at Sky Bet to pick up more cards than their visitors who have 11 yellows and no reds.
Then comes Vitebsk v Dynamo Brest at 4pm. These sides’ matches have totalled 53 cards in eight games with the home men “winning” this count 14-9 as well as having two reds.
They are 4-5 with Sky Bet to win the card count and both sides to go over 40pts each pays 5-2.
BATE v Torpedo Zhodino is the final game at 6pm and these are almost good guys with BATE leading the card count 9-7 with neither side seeing red.
There could be goals in this one though with BATE battling back from a poor start and looking to see off the second-placed men. Both to score pays 4-6 at McBookie.
Corners are less prolific than cards as my table shows with matches averaging about nine and that’s on the low side. BGU, Dinamo Minsk and Smolevichi are the corner kings with 11 in their outings.
Bets to Consider
- Vitesbsk more cards than Dynamo Brest
- (4-5, Sky Bet)
- Isloch v Slavia Mozyr 45-65 cards
- (9-4, Sky Bet)
Meanwhile, after last weekend’s Easter holiday the pools have a normal look about them.
I’m going for the traditional eight from 10 with games such as Everton v Southampton and Arbroath v Dundee two of my top picks.
The Premiership should have split by now so the top-flight games won’t be listed.
Here are my choices and you need to have your selections placed by 2.25pm on Saturday with results picked by the Pools Panel.
Score Draws (8 from 10)
- Everton v Southampton (1)
- Cardiff v Derby (5)
- Luton v QPR (7)
- Millwall v Blackburn (8)
- Burton v Sunderland (14)
- Lincoln v Wycombe (17)
- Oxford v Fleetwood (18)
- Arbroath v Dundee (33)
- Montrose v Falkirk (39)
- Elgin v Annan (43)
