WE’VE just got over the excitement of one Nations League campaign and another one continues over the next few days.
Scotland, Slovakia, Hungary and North Macedonia accepted second chances to qualify for Euro 2020 and will line up across the Continent next June.
All the talk north of the border is still about Scotland reaching their first major finals since the World Cup in 1998 and there have been social-distanced parties up and down the country.
The countdown to facing England at Wembley started the minute David Marshall sealed our place and Coral make Steve Clarke’s men 11-8 to reach the knockout stage from a group that also involves Croatia and Czech Republic.
Scotland are 9-2 with Coral to finish above England in Group D, 6-1 to advance the furthest of the Home Nations and 150-1 to cause a seismic upset by winning Euro 2020.
England have been installed as tournament favourites at 5-1 with Ladbrokes alongside Belgium while Croatia are 33-1.
Scotland are in action again in Slovakia on Sunday and Kevin Mac features this game on his Nations League preview.
Games on Saturday include Portugal vs France, Sweden vs Croatia, Germany vs Ukraine and Switzerland vs Spain. Check out the match previews on the site.
I’m focusing on the Betfred Cup in Scotland and have also picked out a treble from the English lower leagues. They are reasoned on my previews.
