IT was another thrilling day in the Premier League but Jorginho’s penalty miss must have had plenty of punters hanging their head in frustration.
While Spurs hit five at Southampton and Brighton breezed in three at Newcastle, there was nothing doing for Chelsea who were reduced to 10 men then saw Jorginho blow his chance from 12 yards to give his side hope after falling 2-0 behind.
It wasn’t to be then and that miss beat my both to score double that started with Hibs vs Rangers. It also killed Bet 2 of my £10 to £100 challenge and I know I should have gone for the Hibs game instead but the kick-off was a little early so I went with the later one.
Shock defeats for Newcastle and Aberdeen beat my Top Treble while my Euro treble and US Open twoball treble are still running.
I’ll be glued to the final round as my two antepost tips Bryson DeChambeau and Matthew Wolff fight it out for the title. Hopefully one of them wins and the other places but of course I’d rather it was 75-1 chance Wolff.
Well done to all the winners on Sunday and we turn our attention to Monday with two more Premier League games – Wolves vs Man City and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United.
The other big game is AC Milan vs Bologna and there’s not much else on the go as we prepare for a big week of Champions League and Europa League qualifiers. I’ll put up a double or treble in the morning.
