The last day of the Championship promised drama and it didn’t let us down. At one stage all three automatic-promotion-chasing teams were behind but in the end it was West Brom that prevailed thanks to a 2-2 draw at home to QPR.

At the other end of the table Barnsley pulled off the great escape with a late winner at Brentford while Wigan’s 12-point deduction proved a bridge too far as they joined Hull and Charlton in dropping down to League One.
Liverpool finally got their hands on the Premier League trophy following an entertaining 5-3 win over Chelsea. The Reds are 7/4 second favourites to retain their crown behind Man City who are even money to win the 20-21 Premier League.
Man Utd’s visit to the King Power Stadum was always going to determine who would make it to the Champions League and now we know that United only need a point from the game following their 1-1 draw with West Ham. Chelsea will also need to win their last match against Wolves to secure the other spot, otherwise they’ll be relaint on a United win at Leicester.
There’s not much football to get excited about on Thursday but Juventus have the chance to all but wrap up the Serie A title with a win at Udinese. Cristiano Ronaldo and Co could move nine points clear with three games to play and will be popular with punters although only 1/2 to win.
The Portuguese superstar scored a brace in the Old Lady’s 2-1 win over Lazio on Monday and is 8/13 to add to his Serie A goal tally of 50 goals. He’s 12/5 to open the scoring.
Thommo’s Racing Tips
Another day, another winner for Thommo. This time is was Derry Boy, tipped at 4/1, that obliged at Bath. Lunar Deity also claimed third at 13/2 for some each-way money.
On Thursday he’s looking to get the day of to a winning start with his tip in the 12.35 at Uttoxter and adds another three later in the day at Pontefract and Sandown.
