If you’ve been on the site this week you’ll know that MrFixit hasn’t been well the past few days. He wanted to let you know that he’s doing fine and he’s hoping to get out of hospital and back on the site for the weekend. Fingers crossed.
He’s missed a lot of football this week and is desperate to get his head in a Racing Post to study the form, especially with a full card of Premier League and Championship matches lying in wait.
It was hardly a thrilling return to action for the English top flight with Villa and Sheffiled United serving up a 0-0 draw, thanks in part to VAR not bieng switched on! David Luiz proved the difference between Arsenal and Manchester City, sadly for the Gunners that difference was in favour of their opponents.
The Coppa Italia Final didn’t offer much more excitement with Napoli emerging eventual winners following a penalty shoot-out after a 0-0 draw.
It was a different story in Germany where Mainz stunned Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in their battle to beat the drop while RB Leipzig contrived to throw away another two points at home.
Greg’s £10-£1,000 Challenge
The good news for Greg was that Leverkusen flew out the traps, bagging six corners inside 13 minutes to land the first bet of his £10-£1,000 Challenge. Keep an eye out for Bet No.2 being posted on Thursday morning.
Match Preview
Real Madrid take centre stage on the football front on Thursday. They need to win at home to Valencia to reduce the gap back to two points on Barcelona. SlipsTips has a 9-2 card bet lined up in his match preview.
English League Two Play-offs begin with an early evening kick-off between Colchester United v Exeter City (5.15) followed by Northampton Town v Cheltenham Town (7.45), both live on Sky Sports.
Royal Ascot
RizzelTips was in great form again at Royal Ascot. Both he and Thommo provided a winner in the first televised race at 7-2. Rizzel added another winner and three more well priced each-way places to make it a profitable day.
