CELTIC are licking their wounds after suffering their earliest Champions League exit for 15 years.
Neil Lennon’s men crashed 2-1 at home to Ferencvaros and while they clearly missed injured star striker Odsonne Edouard it was defensive slackness that again cost them in Europe.
It was a disastrous result for the Hoops and a bad one for Scottish football as we need all the boosts we can get.
I tipped Celtic to win but they were too short to feature on my lines and my Super Single of Ryan Christie to score landed at 13-8.
My Champions League treble also won at 4-1 thanks to Molde draw no bet, Rapid Vienna and Dinamo Brest so it was a decent night.
Now it’s the turn of Aberdeen and Motherwell to try to win some pride back for Scottish football as they launch their Europa League campaigns.
Aberdeen tackle Runavik at home and Motherwell welcome Glentoran to Fir Park and I’ve posted my thoughts on the games.
Also check out Kevin Mac’s predictions and match previews for Aberdeen vs Runavik and Motherwell vs Glentoran.
I’ll look at all the Europa League games in the morning before putting up top tips. Other games include TNS vs Zilina, Valletta vs Bala Town and Maribor vs Coleraine and Shamrock Rovers vs Ilves.
Well done to all the winners on Wednesday, especially those who backed Ferencvaros at a big price.
