If anything sums up the topsy-turvy nature of the football world right now it’s the FA Cup final being played on the opening day of the Scottish Premiership season.
As one curtain closes another one opens and so the 2020-21 season begins.
Aberdeen and Rangers kick-off the SPFL season in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off. KevMac is sweet on Joe Aribo to get on the scoresheet in lieu of Alfredo Morelos’s indifferent form for the Gers. Read all of Kevin’s tips for he opening weekend in Scotland here.
The FA Cup final at Wembley will be a surreal experience but it could be a cracker. Both Arsenal and Chelsea are well matched but the bookies make the Blues clear favourites at 11/10. That means there could be value in siding with the Gunners at an appealing 5/2.
Elsewhere in Europe there’s half a round of fixtures in Italy and the Portuguese Cup final, contested by Benfica and Porto which offers up a good Both Teams to Score opportunity.
