SIX nights of Nations League games are done and dusted and I can’t say I’m sorry.
Most of the matches have been played like pre-season friendlies and the 90 minutes I spent watching Denmark vs England I’ll never get back.
If you thought Iceland vs England was dull then this was worse. At least we had a dramatic ending in Reykjavik.
In Copenhagen I was just praying for it end. Players can be excused a bit as most are in pre-season but that didn’t put the likes of Belgium, France and Portugal putting on shows on Tuesday.
Well done to any winners and we now turn our attention to the new English seasons that kicks off with a Championship game between Watford and Middlesbrough on Friday.
And it’s been revealed that all 28 Premier League games in September will be televised live. Let’s hope none are as bad as Denmark vs England.
Sky Sports and BT Sport had already selected 17 games across the first three rounds of matches in the new season. Of the remaining 11, Sky will show six, BT Sport three, and the BBC and Amazon Prime will broadcast one each.
It promises to be a feast of football but more important is the betting so let’s hear your antepost thoughts before the kick-off.
