AFTER Chelsea and Wolves wrapped up the first weekend of the Premier League with wins it’s time for the dreaded Carabao Cup.
I fancied two away wins on Monday but my Super Single was Timo Werner to score – and I was about to raise a glass when the German won a penalty.
However, joy tuned to pain when I realised he wasn’t taken it with Jorginho maintaining duties he took over last season.
Werner didn’t score but looks the part and should get his share of strikes as the season goes on.
Well done to all the winners including maccathered whose Premier League double included under 2.5 goals at Sheffield Utd vs Wolves. After two in the opening six minutes it’s one he must have written off.
It’s all about team news in the Carabao Cup and even better if you don’t bet until you see line-ups.
Games include Newcastle vs Blackburn, West Hams vs Charlton, Burton vs Aston Villa and Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace.
Elsewhere there are three Champions League ties and Montpellier vs Lyon in French Ligue 1.
I’ll look at the game in closer detail in the morning before deciding to put up any top tips.
