NOTHING continues to happen on the field in football but off it Belgian chiefs took decisive action that infuriated UEFA.
They crowned Brugge, who led Gent by 15 points, as champions with no prospect of football resuming.
UEFA continue to insist there will be action in June and tried to talk Belgian out of making a decision – even though they didn’t relegate anyone and are considering league reconstruction as an option.
They want leagues to finish but who will side with them and who will hold off in a bid to protect TV and sponsorship deals?
Smaller nations such as Scotland and Holland could follow Belgium but the big guns will be trying to hold firm.
There wasn’t much happening on Thursday but well done to a few people who posted winners.
And a big congratulations to anyone who scored well on the Emojis Stadium quiz. Admin have posted all 30 answers if any of them stumped you.
Friday sees the return of action from Belarus with league games being played over three days.
There are two on Friday with Belshina Bobruisk facing Gorodeya and Dinamo Minsk tackling Torpedo Zhodino.
My Belarus tipping hasn’t been great but I’ll up my thoughts on the two games in the morning.
