EUROPEAN football is looming on the horizon with the Europa League kickstarting back in to action on Wednesday.
Three British teams are still inovolved; Manchester United are 5-0 up from the first leg ahead of LASK Linz visit to Old Trafford on Wednesday, while Rangers face a tough task to turn around a 3-1 deficit when they travel to Bayer Leverkusen. Wolves v Olympiakos will be an interesting watch with the teams tied 1-1 from the first leg.
Then on Friday it’s the turn of the Champions League to take centre-stage. Juventus host Lyon and Real Madrid are the visitors at the Etihad where Man City will be aiming to capitalise on the 2-1 first leg advantage.
Plenty to look forward to later in the week then, but on Monday Dingwall is the unlikely venue for match of the day in the UK. Ross County and Motherwell complete the opening round of fixtures in the SPFL Premiership. Motherwell, who had an impressive 19/20 season will be popular among punters especially at odds around 6/5. Don’t miss KevMac’s preview below.
Celtic strolled to the top of the league on Sunday thanks to an Odsonne Edouard inspired 5-1 win over Hamilton. The Frenchman notched a hat-trick, shortening his odds even further to be crowned top goalscorer. SlipsTips found a nice couple of ways to get onside with Celtic in his match preview despite their short price, suggesting two winning tips at 1/1 and 4/5.
