Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me delve back into the Swiss top-flight and I like the look of the league leaders to come away with a comfortable win against the side bottom of the league.
Lausanne Sports vs Zürich

Zürich will look to take another step closer to their first league title since 2009, as they take on bottom side Lausanne-Sport at the Stade de la Tuilière. The visitors come into the weekend 13 points clear of nearest-challengers Young Boys, whilst the hosts are six points off Luzern in 9th and 15 points from automatic safety.
Lausanne-Sport suffered yet another defeat last time out, as they lost 1-0 away to Sion. The bottom side have now lost eight on the bounce in the Swiss Super League, as well as each of their last six at home, conceding on 17 occasions. Alain Casanova’s side have taken just 12 points this season (W2-D6-L16), with just two of those points coming against the top-four sides in the league. Lausanne-Sport have kept just one clean sheet this season and have the worst defensive record in the division, conceding 50 goals, with 30 of them coming at home.
Zürich collected yet another three points last time out, as they won 0-2 away to 9th-placed Luzern to bring up Wednesday’s Bet of the Day. André Breitenreiter’s side have not lost in the league since the end of September (W13-D3-L0) and come into this winning 11 of their last 12 league matches. FCZ are the leagues highest-scorers, with them finding the back of the net on 57 occasions. Zürich have failed to find the back of the net in just one of their 24 matches in the league this season, scoring on multiple occasions in 17 of them.
Bet of the Day
Not only are these two sides at opposite ends of the table, they come into this in contrasting form, with the hosts losing each of their last eight, whilst the visitors have won 11 of their last 12. Lausanne-Sport have also lost each of their last six matches at home and given Zürich have won five of their last six away, I’m fully expecting that losing run to extend to seven at the Stade de la Tuilière. With Zürich being the leagues top-scorers and Lausanne-Sport having the leagues leakiest defence, I’m happy to add in the visitors to score at least twice alongside the win, a selection that’s came up in both previous meetings between the two sides this season (Zürich won 3-1 on both occasions).
