Following a lack of goals at the AMEX on Thursday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Dutch second tier, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Jong PSV have scored 23 goals across their opening 18 Eerste Divisie fixtures this term, with 11 (48%) of them coming at home. Wil Boessen’s hosts have found the back of the net in 7/9 (78%) of their league outings as hosts – scoring two or more in three (33%) of them – and will look to trouble a Jong Ajax defence that has conceded a staggering 28 goals across their opening nine road trips, shipping two or more goals in eight (89%) of them.
Jong Ajax have scored 29 goals across their opening 18 matches in the Eerste Divisie this campaign, with 13 (45%) of them coming on their travels. Dave Vos’ visitors have found the back of the net in all bar two of their league outings – scoring two or more in eight (44%) of them – and will be confident of troubling a Jong PSV defence that’s registered just three clean sheets in the league this season, shipping a league-high 39 goals.

Jong Ajax’s opening nine away matches in the Eerste Divisie this campaign are averaging a whopping 4.56 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in eight (89%) of them, whilst six (67%) of them have featured four or more goals. Meanwhile, Jong PSV’s opening 18 league contests have averaged 3.44 goals per game, with 14 (78%) of them producing a minimum of three goals, whilst eight (44%) of them have seen four or more goals.
