Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the EFL, and there is one side in League Two who appeals to me for goals.

Tranmere will look to continue their strong recent record in front of their supporters as they welcome poor-travelling Swindon to Prenton Park in a fixture that I’m keen to back the hosts to bag a couple of goals.
Tranmere suffered more away-day misery last time out, as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Walsall, meaning they have taken just two points from a possible 33 on the road (W0-D2-L9). However, it’s a different story on home soil for the Merseysiders, with them posting a record of W6-D1-L4. In fact, their 2-1 victory over Newport in their previous home match not only made it three wins on the bounce in front of their supporters but also five in their last seven.
Swindon’s poor run of form continued last time out, as they fell to a 0-3 defeat at home to 2nd-placed Barrow, there sixth defeat from their previous nine League Two encounters. The Robins were thrashed 4-0 at AFC Wimbledon in their last away match, meaning Michael Flynn’s visitors have won just one of their previous 11 road trips (W1-D5-L5), losing five of their last eight.

Nigel Adkins’ hosts have scored 29 goals across their opening 22 matches in League Two this campaign, with 22 (76%) of them coming in front of their supporters. Rovers have only failed to score at home in the league this season against 3rd-placed Wrexham – notching on multiple occasions in 8/11 (73%) of them – and I’m backing them to bag another double at home to a Robins defence that has recorded a solitary clean sheet in the league away from home this season, shipping multiple goals in eight of their previous 11.
