Today’s Football Bet of the Day sees me tackle the South American qualifiers that start this evening and go into the morning.

Ecuador host Peru late this evening in Quito. Ecuador currently sit in 3rd spot with only the big 2 Brazil and Argentina above them whereas Peru sit rock bottom and below both Venezuela & Bolivia.
It’s been an impressive start to qualifying for Ecuador as they’ve collected 9 points from their first 5 games. There’s no shame in their 2 defeats at they both came away to Brazil & Argentina. They’ve won both home games with eye catching 4-2 and 6-1 wins over both Uruguay & Columbia respectively. In their 3 wins Ecuador have scored an eye catching 13 goals.
It’s been a dreadful campaign already for Peru as they’ve gained a solitary point in their first 5 games. Last time out they suffered a 0-3 defeat at home to Columbia. That now means Peru have conceded 13 goals in their 5 games conceding 2+ in all 5. Finding the back of the net has been a big of a struggle for Peru recently as they’ve failed to score in their last 3 games, which were all defeats.
Chile vs Bolivia

Chile host Bolivia in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Santiago. Chile currently lie 7th but know a win can propel them up the table. Bolivia meanwhile lie one place below them and will also seek more valuable points.
Last time out Chile gained a valuable point away to Argentina with an Alexis Sanchez equaliser. That draw puts Chile on 5 points after 5 games, so a win here will be valuable. Chile have gained 4 points in their 2 home games. A stoppage time equaliser denied them all 3 points in a 2-2 draw against Columbia in their first home game but defeated Peru 2-0 in their last home game.
Bolivia claimed a valuable 3-1 against Venezuela last time out at La Paz. However when it comes to leaving their La Paz base, Bolivia have a horrible record. Bolivia are winless in their last 46 away games in World Cup Qualifiers losing 40. Bolivia have conceded in all 5 qualifiers including conceding 2+ in 4 of them.

2 sides at home in tonight’s/this mornings South American World Cup qualifiers should be too strong for their visitors. Ecuador have been in sizzling form in front of goal at home whereas Peru have been poor. Chile need all 3 points and host a side that are incredibly poor travellers. Chile are unbeaten in their last 9 home games against Bolivia winning 7 of them.
