Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me delve into both the Swiss Super League and the Danish Superliga and I’ve picked out two sides who I like the look of to score at least twice.
Midtjylland vs Brøndby

Midtjylland will look to go back to within one point of league leaders Copenhagen, as they host Brøndby at the MCH Arena. The hosts are in second-spot, four points behind the leaders, whilst the visitors are sixth, four points off the Conference League playoff spot.
Midtjylland made it four wins from their last five in the league, as they won 1-2 away to AaB. Bo Henriksen’s side have actually won seven of their last 10 in the Danish Superliga, with the three games they’ve failed to win on that run all coming against Copenhagen. When excluding games against Copenhagen, Midtjylland have won nine of their last 11 at home in the league. The Wolves have found the back of the net in 23/29 of their league matches this season, with only Silkeborg (52) and Copenhagen (51) scoring more than their tally of 50.
Brøndby ended their seven-match losing streak last time out, as they scored a stoppage-time equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Copenhagen. Nevertheless, that’s now nine games without a win for Niels Frederiksen’s side, with them losing each of their last four away from home by an aggregate score of 10-1. Brøndby have registered just six clean sheets this campaign, with just three of them coming on their travels. The Boys from Vestegnen have conceding 37 goals in the Danish Superliga this season, with 16 of them coming in their last eight fixtures.
Zürich vs Lausanne-Sport

Two sides at complete opposite ends of the Swiss Super League table go head-to-head at the Letzigrund, as Zürich host Lausanne-Sport. The hosts have recently been crowned champions, while it’s already been confirmed that the visitors will be playing in the second-tier next season.
Zürich recorded their fourth successive victory last time out, as they won 1-2 away to high-scoring St. Gallen. Zürich have the best home record in the division, with André Breitenreiter’s side having taken 39 points from a possible 48 (W12-D3-L1). Zürich have only failed to score once at home this season, with no side scoring more on home turf than their tally of 41. FCZ have scored on multiple occasions in 23/33 of their league fixtures this season, including in all three matches against their visiting opponents this season, scoring eight times.
Lausanne-Sport extended their unbeaten run to four matches at home last time out, as they held Basel to a 0-0 draw. However, Alain Casanova’s side have lost seven of their last eight matches when on their travels, drawing the other 2-2 against Young Boys. Lausanne-Sport have won just once away from home this season, with no side collecting fewer than the seven points they’ve earned so far (W1-D4-L11). Les bleu et blanc have recorded just two clean sheets this term and have the leagues leakiest defence, conceding 68 times in just 33 matches.
Bet of the Day
Midtjylland can ill-afford to drop any more points if they wish to catch league leaders Copenhagen but should record all three points against an out-of-form Brøndby side. The visitors have lost their last four on their travels, conceding 10 goals in the process and with Bo Henriksen’s hosts having won each of their last seven when excluding matches against Copenhagen, I reckon we’ll see Midtjylland score at least twice here.
Newly-crowned Swiss Super League champions host already-relegated Lausanne-Sport and the hosts should record a comfortably victory here. Alain Casanova’s visitors have won just once away from home all season and with no side conceding more than their tally of 68, I’m expecting the hosts to take advantage of this leaky defence. Zürich have struck 41 goals already at home this season and I can’t see them not scoring at least twice here.
