Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Swedish top flight, and there is one fixture in particular that stands out to me for goals.

Häcken will look to keep alive their feint hopes of retaining their Allsvenskan title as they welcome 7th-placed Norrköping to the Bravida Arena in a fixture that screams out goals.
Per-Mathias Høgmo’s hosts are the leading scorers in the Swedish top flight, banging in 59 goals across their opening 26 matches, with an incredible 41 (69%) of them coming on home soil. The Wasps have made the net bulge in all 13 of their league outings in front of their supporters – scoring two or more in 12 (92%) of them and remarkably three or more in 10 (77%) of them – and they should be more than capable of adding to their goal-tally against a Norrköping defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet across their last 12 road trips in the league, shipping multiple strikes in seven (58%) of them.
Only the runaway top-three in the Swedish top flight have outscored Norrköping this campaign, with Glen Riddersholm’s visitors scoring 40 goals across their opening 26 matches, with 23 (58%) of them coming on their travels. The VitaBlå have made the net bulge in all bar one of their opening 13 league tussles on the road – striking on multiple occasions in eight (62%) of them – and they will look to cause trouble against a Häcken defence that’s registered just five clean sheets in the league this season, with two (40%) of them coming against rock-bottom Varberg.

Häcken’s opening 13 home fixtures in the Allsvenskan this season are averaging a staggering 4.31 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banking in 10 (77%) of them – and given the same has landed in each of Norrköping’s previous nine Swedish top-flight matches on their travels – I’m hoping we see a similarly entertaining affair to the four goals these two clubs shared in the reverse fixture at the beginning of July.
