Monday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me stay in Norway and I’m dropping down a division and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals in the second-tier.
Kongsvinger vs KFUM
🇳🇴 OBOS-Ligaen
⏰ Monday 12th September, 17:00
Two of the most in-form sides in the Norwegian OBOS-Ligaen meet at the Giemselund Stadion at Monday teatime, as second-placed KFUM travel to eighth-placed Kongsvinger.
Kongsvinger bounced back from their 0-1 at home to third-placed Stabæk last time out, as they hammered struggling Stjørdals/Blink 1-4 away from home. Eirik Maland’s side have now lost two of their last 14 in the Norwegian second-tier and they come into this having won five of their last seven (W5-D1-L1). KIL have found the back of the net in all bar one of their 11 home league matches this season, scoring on 22 occasions. Kongsvinger have managed just two clean sheets in those 11 home fixtures, with both of those coming against two of the current bottom-three.
KFUM made it six wins from their last seven and five wins on the spin last time out, as they comfortably defeated out-of-form Mjøndalen 3-0. Jørgen Isnes’ visitors have won four and drawn one of their last five on their travels, with that draw being a 2-2 draw away at the side directly below them in the table, Stabæk. Käffa have found the back of the net in 22/23 of their league fixtures this season, scoring on multiple occasions in 16 of those. The Oslo-based side have registered just four clean sheets all season, with just one of those coming on the road.
Bet of the Day
Second-placed KFUM come into this having won each of their last five but know they’ll face a tough test against a Kongsvinger side that’s won five of their last seven. Given the form the pair are in and their records at both ends of the pitch, I’m expecting an entertaining encounter at the Giemselund Stadion which is full of goals.
Eirik Maland’s hosts have found the back of the net in 10/11 of their home fixtures this season and I expect them to net against a KFUM defence that’s kept just one clean sheet on their travels this season. Käffa have failed to score just once this season and I can’t see them not scoring at least once against a Kongsvinger defence who’s only two clean sheets at home came against two of the the bottom-three.
- Kongsvinger vs KFUM – Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 5/6 (bet 365)
