After successfully backing Both Teams to Score in their previous fixture Last Saturday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on Shanghai Port’s home league match with Meizhou Hakka, and once again, I fancy goals at both ends.

Shanghai Port will look to extend their 11-point lead at the top of the Chinese Super League tomorrow lunchtime as they welcome 11th-placed Meizhou Hakka in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Javier Pereira’s table-toppers are also the leading scorers in the Chinese Super League, scoring 50 goals across their opening 22 matches, with 23 (46%) of those coming on home soil. The Red Eagles have made the net bulge in 20/22 (91%) of their league outings this term – scoring on multiple occasions in 16 (73%) of them – and it would be a major surprise if they failed to get on the scoresheet against a Meizhou Hakka backline that only registered their first clean sheet at the 22nd time of asking last week, and who possess the second-worst defence, conceding 41 times.
Meizhou Hakka have scored 33 goals across their opening 22 league contests this campaign, with 14 (42%) of them coming on their travels. Milan Ristić’s visitors have found the back of the net in 18/22 (82%) of their league assignments – including in 13 of their previous 14 matches – and they will look to breach a Red Eagles defence that has registered a solitary clean across their opening 11 league tussles on home soil, conceding in all five against teams below Meizhou Hakka in the Chinese Super League table.

Shanghai Port arrive in this fixture at a best price of 2/9 to win the game, and whilst they may end up winning this match comfortably, I’m happy to take a chance on them failing to keep a clean sheet at home once again.
Both Teams to Score has banked in 9/11 (82%) of the league leaders’ league outings on home soil this season – and given both have obliged in a league-high 17/22 (77%) of Meizhou Hakka’s Chinese Super League fixtures – I’m happy to have a punt on both teams finding the target here.
