The final Football Bet of the Day of what has been a sensational month sees me focus on Thursday nights European qualifiers, and one fixture in particular catches my eye for goals at both ends.

Looking to overturn a one-goal deficit from the first-leg in Vienna last week, Fiorentina welcomes Rapid Wien to the Artemio Franchi on Thursday evening – and I’m willing to take a chance on both teams finding the back of the net.
Fiorentina cruised to a 1-4 success away at newly-promoted Genoa on the opening day of the Serie A season, and it looked as if they were going to make it two wins out of two as they raced into a two-goal lead at home to Lecce on Sunday. However, Vincenzo Italiano’s men inexplicably conceded twice in the second half to draw 2-2, once again highlighting their defensive deficiencies on home soil. Since the start of last season, La Viola have conceded in 22/28 (79%) of their Serie A and Conference League fixtures on home soil – even conceding against the likes of Lech Poznań, Hearts and Latvian side FK Rigas in last season’s Conference League.
It’s been a frustrating start to the Austrian Bundesliga campaign for Rapid Wien, as they could only draw 1-1 at home to Wattens on Sunday, meaning they’ve now taken just eight points across their opening five matches. Nevertheless, Zoran Barisic’s visitors have banged in 11 goals across their three Bundesliga and Conference League away matches this season – including five away in Hungary against Debrecen in the previous round – meaning Die Grün-Weißen have made the net bulge in 19 of their previous 22 league and Conference League matches dating back to the beginning of last season.

Since the start of last season, Both Teams to Score has landed in 20/28 (71%) of Fiorentina’s Serie A and European fixtures in front of their supporters – including in 7/8 (88%) of their Conference League matches in Florence last term – and whilst La Viola are mighty short-priced favourites to win, I’m willing to take a chance on both finding the target.
