Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Turkish Süper Lig, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Beşiktaş will look to climb at least a couple of places in the Turkish Süper Lig table tomorrow afternoon as they travel to the Gaziantep Stadium to take on Gaziantep FK in a match that promises goals.
After winning three of their opening four league fixtures, Gaziantep have gone on to win just one of their next nine to leave them positioned in 10th position, just two points outside of the relegation zone. Erol Bulut’s men have kept just two clean sheets in the league this season, with just one of those coming in their previous 11. However, Gaziantep have failed to score just twice in the league this season, finding the back of the net in each of their opening five matches as hosts.
After winning four of their opening five league matches, Beşiktaş have gone on to win just two of their next eight to leave them in eighth position, seven points off league leaders Fenerbahçe. Şenol Güneş’s visitors have kept just one clean sheet since the opening day of the season, conceding 18 goals. The Black Eagles are the second-highest scorers in the Turkish Süper Lig, finding the back of the net 26 times across their opening 13 league outings.
Bet of the Day
Neither Gaziantep nor Beşiktaş head into this encounter in great form, which is largely due to their defensive struggles. The pair have kept just five clean sheets between them in the league this season, but given they’ve scored in 22/26 of their combined league outings, there’s a good chance we’ll see both sides get on the scoresheet.
Collectively, Over 2.5 goals has landed in 15/26 (58%) of the pair’s Turkish Süper Lig fixtures this season, and given Beşiktaş’s fixtures average 3.38 goals per match, I’m happy to add in a third goal, alongside both getting on the scoresheet.
