Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on both the Norwegian Eliteserien and the German Bundesliga. I’ve picked a selection from each league in which I like the look of to give us a nice odds against double.
Rosenborg vs Sandefjord
🇳🇴 Eliteserien
⏰ Sunday 24th October, 16:00
Rosenborg host out of form Sandefjord at the Lerkendal Stadion on Sunday afternoon. The hosts now sit in 5th following Viking’s win yesterday, with the visitors sitting in 11th position.
Rosenborg have failed to win their last two matches due to them shooting themselves in the foot by getting a man sent off in the first half in both games. However they avoided defeat last time out to Vålerenga, earning a 2-2 draw. Prior to that, Rosenborg had won eight of their last nine games in which they scored 19 goals. Rosenborg are unbeaten in their last six home games, scoring 14 times. Rosenborg have scored 28 goals in 11 home matches, with them scoring 2+ in eight of those including in each of their last four.
Sandefjord drew 0-0 at home last time out which means they’ve now only won one of their last nine Eliteserien games. Sandefjord are poor travels with them only winning three of their 10 away matches, with two of those wins coming against two of the bottom four sides. No side have conceded more goals on average than Sandrfjord away from home in the Eliteserien, with them conceding 2.30 goals per match. Sandefjord have only kept one clean sheet away from home all season, conceding on multiple occasion in seven of those fixtures.
Stuttgart vs Union Berlin
🇩🇪 Bundesliga
⏰ Sunday 24th October, 16:30
Union Berlin travel to the Mercedes-Benz Arena to take on Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. The capital club currently sit in 5th position on 15 points. The hosts meanwhile, sit in 13th position on nine points.
Stuttgart extended their three match unbeaten run last time out as they drew 1-1 away to European chasing Gladbach. They also won their last home watch in which they defeated Hoffenheim 3-1. Stuttgart have scored in all four of their home matches, with them scoring 11 of their 13 goals on home turf. Stuttgart have only managed to keep a clean sheet against the Bundesliga’s joint lowest scorers Bochum, with them conceding in their other seven matches. Stuttgart have already conceded 14 goals in the Bundesliga, with eight of those coming at home.
Union had won three Bundesliga matches in a row before being defeated 3-1 in Rotterdam against Feyenoord on Thursday in the Conference League. Union tend to struggle on their travels, winning only five of their last 20 but did win last time out away to Mainz in a 1-2 victory. Union have kept three clean sheets in the Bundesliga against the joint lowest scorers and an out of form Wolfsburg but they’ve all came at home. They’ve conceded seven times in their three away games but they’ve also scored twice in each of those matches.
Bet of the Day
Rosenborg will look to bounce back from successive matches without a win and will fancy their chances against an out of form Sandefjord. Rosenborg have been scoring plenty of goals this season, especially at home. They should score at least twice here against a Sandefjord side who are poor on their travels and concede plenty of goals. Two attacking sides face off in the Bundesliga as Stuttgart host Union Berlin. Stuttgart are a better side at home and score plenty of goals there. Union are probably a better side than Stuttgart but don’t have a great away record. Union should score against a leaky Stuttgart side but I can also see the hosts scoring also, therefore I’m backing both teams to score.
- Rosenborg to Score 2+
- Stuttgart vs Union Berlin – Both Teams to Score
- Double Pays 31/20 (William Hill)
