Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the English National League and one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

Notts County will look to go level on points with league leaders Wrexham as they travel to Moss Lane to take on mid-table Altrincham this evening.
Altrincham recorded their second victory from their last three matches last time out, as they defeated out-of-form Southend at home at the weekend. Phil Parkinson’s men have now won 10 of their previous 15 National League fixtures in front of their supporters (W10-D0-L5), including each of their last three. The Robins have found the back of the net in 16/19 of their National League contests at home, scoring on 31 occasions.
Notts County recorded their third consecutive league victory in front of their supporters on Saturday as they thrashed relegation-haunted Scunthorpe 4-0. Luke Williams’s visitors boast the division’s best away record, collecting 45 points from a possible 60 (W13-D6-L1), but head into this fixture having drawn each of their previous two against Bromley and Barnet 1-1. The Magpies have found the back of the net in all 20 of their away league fixtures this season, scoring a league-high 54 goals.
Bet of the Day
Notts County took their goal-tally to an incredible 101 on Saturday afternoon – and given they have failed to score just once this season – Luke William’s side should have no trouble getting on the scoresheet against an Altrincham defence that’s kept just four clean sheets in the league this season. However, The Magpies have registered just three clean sheets on their travels this season, and that will give an Altrincham side that’s scored in 16/19 of their home league fixtures this season plenty of encouragement.
Both Teams to Score has landed in a league-high 17/20 (85%) of Notts County’s National League matches on the road this season – and given the same has banked in 27/39 (69%) of Altrincham’s league outings this season – I’m happy to back both sides getting on the scoresheet in Greater Manchester this evening.
