Following back-to-back winners in China and Scotland, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Champions League qualifiers, and one qualifier in particular appeals to me for goals.

Aris Limassol welcomes Raków Częstochowa to the Alphamega Stadium tomorrow evening as the pair battle it out for a place in the Champions League playoff round – and I’m expecting to see goals.
It appeared as if Raków Częstochowa would travel to Limassol with one foot already in the next round, as after scoring inside the opening 10 minutes, the Polish champions doubled their lead just past the hour mark. However, Aris crucially pulled a goal back with just two minutes of normal time left to leave the tie in the balance.
Aleksey Shpilevsky’s hosts have banged in an impressive 14 goals across their opening four competitive fixtures this season – including an incredible 11 over both legs in the previous round against BATE – and know they’ll need to score at least once against a Raków Częstochowa defence without a clean sheet in each of their last five matches, conceding on eight occasions.
Dawid Szwarga’s visitors have found the back of the net in all eight of their Ekstraklasa and Champions League qualifying matches this term – striking on multiple occasions in five of their previous seven – and they will look to breach an Aris defence that shipped five goals over two legs against BATE in the last round, as well as two in the first-leg in Poland.
Bet of the Day
With the tie still in the balance following the 2-1 victory for the Polish champions in the first leg, there are a few different ways to approach this, but I’ve ultimately decided to back Over 2.5 Goals.
Aris Limassol’s opening three Champions League qualifiers have produced an eye-catching 19 goals, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in each – and given there have been a minimum of three strikes in six of Raków Częstochowa’s previous seven Ekstraklasa and Champions League qualifying matches – I’m more than happy to have a punt on there to be at least three goals in what hopefully proves to be an entertaining encounter in Limassol tomorrow evening.
