Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Scottish League Two, and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Stirling Albion will look to continue their pursuit of league leaders Dumbarton as they travel to Stair Park to take on a Stranraer side currently just one point outside the playoff places in a match I am predicting to see at least three goals with both teams contributing.
Stranraer managed to maintain their strong home record last Saturday, as they came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Annan Athletic. Jamie Hamill’s men may be the only side still winless on their travels in the Scottish League Two, but no side has collected more points as hosts in the division, with The Blues collecting 18 points from a possible 27 (W5-D3-L1).
Before their 3-2 defeat at Championship side Inverness CT in the Scottish Cup last weekend, Stirling put an end to their two-match winless streak in the league with a 3-1 success at home to fourth-placed East Fife. After losing two of their opening three road trips in League Two this season, Darren Young’s men are unbeaten in each of their last four, collecting 10 points from a possible 12.

Stranraer are yet to fail to score in their nine league matches as hosts this season – scoring 17 goals across their nine home tussles – and The Blues will be confident of keeping that record going against a Stirling defence that’s kept only two clean sheets this season, and none on the road.
Darren Young’s visitors are the leading scorers in the Scottish fourth-tier this season, netting on 33 occasions. 25 of those have come across their previous nine league outings, and they will be confident of breaching a Stranraer defence that’s kept just one clean sheet since the opening day of the season.
