Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to Asia and there’s one fixture in particular that stands out to me for goals in the South Korean K League 1.
Incheon United vs Gangwon FC
🇰🇷 K League 1
⏰ Friday 2nd September, 11:30
Incheon will look to keep up their recent impressive run of form, as they play host to a Gangwon at the Incheon Football Stadium on late Friday morning.
Incheon made it three wins from their last four matches in their last league outing, as they defeated Seoul 2-0 at home. Jo Sung-hwan’s side have now lost just one of their last seven matches on home turf and come into this having won four of their last six in front of their own supporters. The Mariners have found the back of the net in each of their last eight K League 1 matches, scoring on 14 occasions. Incheon have kept eight clean sheets in their opening 28 league fixtures this season, however, just four of those have came in their last 22 matches.
After losing 2-3 at home to Suwon just over two weeks ago, Gangwon were on the right side of a 2-3 score line in their next fixture, as they defeated Suwon Bluewings away from home. Choi Yong-Soo’s side have now won seven and lost four of their last 11 league fixtures, with two of those defeats coming away at league leaders Ulsan. The Gangwon Kodiaks have now found the back of the net in each of their last 14 K League 1 fixtures, scoring on multiple occasions in seven of their last 11. Gangwon have registered just a solitary clean sheet in their last 13 on their travels, conceding at least twice in eight of their last nine.
Bet of the Day
Incheon come into this fixture having taken 10 points from their last four matches but face a tough task against a Gangwon side that’s won seven of their last 11 league matches. Gangwon have been one of the most entertaining sides in the Korean top-flight this season, with their matches averaging exactly three goals and I’m expecting another three at the Incheon Football Stadium tomorrow.
Jo Sung-hwan’s hosts have scored 14 goals in their last eight matches and they’ll be confident of troubling a Gangwon defence that’s conceded on multiple occasions in eight of their last nine away from home. However, Choi Yong-Soo’s visitors have struck in each of their last 14 and they’ll also be confident of troubling an Incheon defence that’s kept just four clean sheets in their last 22 matches.
- Incheon United vs Gangwon FC – Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 19/20 (bet365)
