Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Icelandic second tier, and there’s one fixture in particular that stands out to me for goals.

Two clubs separated only on goal difference in the Icelandic second tier meet at the Vivaldivöllurinn on Wednesday evening as 6th-placed Grótta play host to 7th-placed Selfoss in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Grótta have scored 15 goals in the Icelandic second tier this term, with 12 of those coming at home. The Seltjarnarnes-based Club have found the back of the net in 7/8 (88%) of their league contests, striking at least twice in each of their last four at home – and will look to breach a Selfoss defence still yet to register a clean sheet across their opening eight league fixtures, conceding 16 goals.
Selfoss have also scored 15 goals in the Icelandic second tier this campaign, with eight of those coming on their travels. The Selfyssingar have found the back of the net in all eight of their league outings to date, scoring two or more in half of them – and will look to trouble a Grótta defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this term, shipping multiple goals in four of their previous six.
Bet of the Day
Both Teams to Score has banked in all eight of Selfoss’ league fixtures in the Icelandic second tier this campaign – and given both have obliged in all bar one of Grótta’s eight league contests – there’s a strong possibility these two sides will find the target.
To increase the price, I’m happy to throw in an extra match goal. 7/8 (88%) of Selfoss’ league matches have broken the Over 2.5 Goals barrier, whilst each of Grótta’s last six have featured a minimum of three goals.
